This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and osivibecode ("we", "us") for the WinClick application for macOS ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on Macs you own or control, for personal or internal business use.
The Software is licensed, not sold. osivibecode retains all right, title and interest in it, including all copies and modifications.
WinClick adds items to Finder's right-click menu and interprets keyboard shortcuts while Finder is frontmost, so that Windows habits — Cut and Paste of files, Delete, F2 to rename, Enter to open — work on macOS. To do so it requires Accessibility permission for its background helper and a Finder extension enabled in System Settings.
File operations are irreversible in the usual ways. "Delete without the Trash" permanently removes files, and macOS asks you to confirm each time. Moving and creating files behaves as it does in Finder. You are responsible for your own backups; see the disclaimer below.
The Software does not modify macOS itself, with one exception you control explicitly: the "Use F1, F2… as standard function keys" switch changes a system-wide macOS preference, and turning it off restores the default. "Always Open With" changes which app opens a file type — the same setting Finder's Get Info offers — and it persists until you change it again.
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that it will work with every future version of macOS.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, osivibecode is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files or profits, arising out of your use of the Software — including data loss caused by file operations you initiate through it. Keep backups.
The Software collects no personal data. Its only network connection is an update check, which you can switch off. See the Privacy Policy.
Updates may be provided at our discretion and are covered by this Agreement unless accompanied by different terms. We may revise this Agreement; the revised version applies to versions of the Software released after it.
This licence ends if you breach these terms, or when you uninstall the Software. On termination you must stop using it and remove all copies.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which osivibecode operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
