1. Overview

OsiVibeCode LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, publishes WinClick, a macOS utility that adds Windows-style file shortcuts and right-click menu items to Finder. This policy explains what the app stores and what it does not. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Paid features are unlocked by a licence key, described in section 4.

2. Data Stored Locally

WinClick keeps its settings in a plain file on your Mac, at ~/Library/Application Support/WinClick/Settings.plist. It is never transmitted anywhere:

• Feature switches: which shortcuts and menu items you have turned on.
• New file templates: the names and extensions you configured for the "New ▸" submenu.
• Menu icon colour: your chosen tint.
• Cut clipboard: while a Cut is pending, the paths of the files you cut, so Paste knows what to move. Cleared as soon as you paste.
• Last folder shown by Finder: so "Open Terminal Here" knows where to open. Overwritten as you browse.

Two more files in the same folder hold your licence: License.key, the key you entered, and License.token, the signed confirmation that this Mac may use the paid features. Both are readable only by your user account.

3. Update Checks

Starting with version 1.0.3, WinClick checks for updates using the open-source Sparkle framework. About once a day it downloads a small list of available versions from osivibecode.github.io, and, if you choose to install an update, the new version from github.com.

• What is sent: an ordinary web request, which names the app and its version. No identifier, no system profile and nothing about your files is included.
• Who sees it: GitHub, which hosts the files, receives your IP address as it would for any download. We do not receive or keep these logs.
• Turning it off: WinClick ▸ About ▸ Updates ▸ "Check for updates automatically". With it off, WinClick connects only when you choose Check for Updates….

4. Licence Checks

The paid keyboard shortcuts need a free trial or a licence. WinClick asks our licence server, at license.osivibecode.xyz, to start the trial, to activate a key and then about once a day to confirm the licence is still valid.

• What is sent: your licence key; an anonymous identifier for your Mac (a one-way hash of its hardware identifier, which cannot be turned back into it); and, when you activate, the name of your Mac as macOS reports it, so you can tell your Macs apart. Nothing about your files is sent.
• What the server stores: your licence key and plan, its status, the Macs it is active on with their names and dates, the date your trial started for each Mac, and the email address you used at checkout.
• Who runs it: we do, on Google Firebase (Cloud Functions and Firestore) in the United States. Google processes the data on our behalf.
• Offline: WinClick keeps working for several days without reaching the server, and the Finder menu works offline indefinitely.
• Deactivating: WinClick ▸ About ▸ "Deactivate This Mac" removes that Mac from your licence.

5. Payments

Purchases are handled by Stripe, which is the merchant of record and the seller for your purchase. You enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout page; we never see or store your card number. Stripe's use of your data is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

From your purchase we receive and keep your email address, your plan, and Stripe's identifiers for your customer record and subscription, so that we can issue your licence key, check whether the subscription is active and answer support requests. We use your email address for your licence and support only — never for marketing. Managing or cancelling a subscription happens in Stripe's customer portal, reachable from WinClick ▸ About ▸ Manage Subscription or license.osivibecode.xyz/manage.

6. Third-Party Services

WinClick contains no advertising SDK and no analytics library. Beyond the update check (section 3) and the licence check (section 4), nothing about you or your files leaves your Mac. The services involved are GitHub, which hosts the updates; Google Firebase, which hosts our licence server; and Stripe, which handles payments.

7. Required Permissions

• Accessibility — granted to the background helper, WinClickHelper. macOS requires this to observe keystrokes so the app can recognise shortcuts such as ⌘X, Delete and F2 while Finder is frontmost. Keys are matched against the shortcut list and then discarded. They are never recorded, stored or transmitted, and no logging of key codes remains in the shipping app.
• Finder extension — enabled in System Settings, so the app can add its items to Finder's right-click menu.
• Background helper — a login item that runs the shortcuts and the menu bar item.
• File access — the app moves, copies, creates and trashes the files you act on, in the folders you act on them in. It reads nothing else.

8. Your Files

WinClick operates on files only in response to something you do — a menu click or a shortcut. It never scans your disk, never indexes your files, never reads their contents, and never copies them anywhere but the destination you chose.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Settings and licence files live on your Mac. On our side we keep only the licence record described in section 4, for as long as the licence exists and afterwards as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep the sale. To have your licence record deleted, email us; note that deleting it ends the licence. To remove everything on your Mac:

• Delete ~/Library/Application Support/WinClick/, which also removes your licence key and token from this Mac.
• Move WinClick to the Trash, then revoke Accessibility in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Accessibility.

10. Your Rights

OsiVibeCode LLC is the controller of the licence and purchase data described in sections 4 and 5. We process it to perform the contract with you (issuing and checking your licence) and to meet our legal obligations (tax and accounting records). We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Wherever you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it; deleting your licence record ends the licence. Depending on where you live you may also object to or restrict our processing, or ask for your data in a portable form. Email osi.vibe.code@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Our servers are in the United States, so using WinClick's licence features means your licence data is transferred there.

11. Children's Privacy

WinClick is a general-purpose desktop utility, is not directed at children, and collects no personal data beyond what a purchase requires.

12. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of WinClick ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
