1. Overview

osivibecode publishes WinClick, a macOS utility that adds Windows-style file shortcuts and right-click menu items to Finder. This policy explains what the app stores and what it does not. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.

2. Data Stored Locally

WinClick keeps its settings in a plain file on your Mac, at ~/Library/Application Support/WinClick/Settings.plist. It is never transmitted anywhere:

• Feature switches: which shortcuts and menu items you have turned on.
• New file templates: the names and extensions you configured for the "New ▸" submenu.
• Menu icon colour: your chosen tint.
• Cut clipboard: while a Cut is pending, the paths of the files you cut, so Paste knows what to move. Cleared as soon as you paste.
• Last folder shown by Finder: so "Open Terminal Here" knows where to open. Overwritten as you browse.

3. Update Checks

Starting with version 1.0.3, WinClick checks for updates using the open-source Sparkle framework. About once a day it downloads a small list of available versions from osivibecode.github.io, and, if you choose to install an update, the new version from github.com.

• What is sent: an ordinary web request, which names the app and its version. No identifier, no system profile and nothing about your files is included.
• Who sees it: GitHub, which hosts the files, receives your IP address as it would for any download. We do not receive or keep these logs.
• Turning it off: WinClick ▸ About ▸ Updates ▸ "Check for updates automatically". With it off, WinClick connects only when you choose Check for Updates….

4. Third-Party Services

None beyond the update check above. WinClick contains no advertising SDK, no analytics library and no cloud service. Nothing about you or your files leaves your Mac.

5. Required Permissions

• Accessibility — granted to the background helper, WinClickHelper. macOS requires this to observe keystrokes so the app can recognise shortcuts such as ⌘X, Delete and F2 while Finder is frontmost. Keys are matched against the shortcut list and then discarded. They are never recorded, stored or transmitted, and no logging of key codes remains in the shipping app.
• Finder extension — enabled in System Settings, so the app can add its items to Finder's right-click menu.
• Background helper — a login item that runs the shortcuts and the menu bar item.
• File access — the app moves, copies, creates and trashes the files you act on, in the folders you act on them in. It reads nothing else.

6. Your Files

WinClick operates on files only in response to something you do — a menu click or a shortcut. It never scans your disk, never indexes your files, never reads their contents, and never copies them anywhere but the destination you chose.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because everything is stored locally, we have no access to it and nothing to delete on our side. To remove it all:

• Delete ~/Library/Application Support/WinClick/.
• Move WinClick to the Trash, then revoke Accessibility in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Accessibility.

8. Children's Privacy

WinClick is a general-purpose desktop utility and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of WinClick ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
