🖱️ WinClick Lite Privacy Policy

In short: WinClick Lite collects nothing, has no servers and never connects to the internet. Everything it stores is a handful of your own settings, on your Mac.

1. Overview

OsiVibeCode LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, publishes WinClick Lite, a macOS utility from the Mac App Store that adds Windows-style items to Finder's right-click menu. This policy explains what the app stores and what it does not. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.

2. Data Stored Locally

WinClick Lite keeps its settings in its sandbox container, at ~/Library/Group Containers/8C36U9ASQC.com.osivibecode.winclicklite/. They are never transmitted anywhere:

Feature switches: which menu items you have turned on.
New file templates: the names and extensions you configured for the "New ▸" submenu.
Menu icon colour: your chosen tint.
Folder access: bookmarks to the folders you granted in the Setup tab, so access survives a restart.
Recent folders: the last five folders you used with "Move to" and "Copy to".
Cut clipboard: while a Cut is pending, the paths of the files you cut, so Paste knows what to move. Cleared as soon as you paste.
Last folder shown by Finder: so "Open Terminal Here" knows where to open. Overwritten as you browse.
Diagnostics: off by default. If you switch them on, a log is written inside the container above and stays on your Mac.

3. Network & Updates

WinClick Lite makes no network connections. Updates come only through the Mac App Store.

4. Third-Party Services

None. WinClick Lite contains no advertising SDK, no analytics library and no cloud service. Nothing about you or your files leaves your Mac.

5. Required Permissions

Finder extension — enabled in System Settings, so the app can add its items to Finder's right-click menu.
Folder access — WinClick Lite runs inside the macOS App Sandbox and can touch only the folders you choose in its Setup tab.
Open at login — optional, so the menu works right after you log in. Managed by macOS in System Settings ▸ General ▸ Login Items.

It does not ask for Accessibility and does not observe your keyboard.

6. Your Files

WinClick Lite operates on files only when you pick one of its menu items. It never scans your disk, never indexes your files, never reads their contents, and never copies them anywhere but the destination you chose.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because everything is stored locally, we have no access to it and nothing to delete on our side. To remove it all, choose Remove WinClick Lite… in its menu bar menu, or delete the app and the container folder above.

8. Children's Privacy

WinClick Lite is a general-purpose desktop utility and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of WinClick Lite ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
