OsiVibeCode LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, publishes Glider, an app for macOS, iPhone, iPad and Android that uploads files you give it to your Dropbox. On the Mac it can also keep one folder in sync with Dropbox; on phones you can browse, open and organize the files Glider manages. This policy explains what the app reads, what it sends and to whom, and what it stores. Glider has no account of its own and no advertising.
Apps › GliderApp in your Dropbox, never the rest of it.Apps › GliderApp only when you ask it to. A file you open
is downloaded to the app's private cache; files you save go where you choose.Apps › GliderApp into that folder, and mirrors deletions
in both directions. Deleted files go to your Mac's Trash and remain restorable in Dropbox..glider folder in Apps › GliderApp. It holds the device's name
(which you can change in Glider's settings) and its recent uploads in that Dropbox
account: file names, Dropbox paths, sizes, times, progress and error messages. It stays in
your Dropbox; we never receive it. Delete the .glider folder on dropbox.com to
remove it.Glider uses two Google services, part of Firebase, so we can see when the app crashes or fails and which features are used:
This data is not linked to your Dropbox account or your identity, is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps and websites, and is never sold. Google processes it on our behalf under the Firebase privacy and security terms. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Detailed usage statistics are deleted after 2 months; after that only aggregated, anonymous totals remain.
Glider keeps the following on your device. None of it is sent to us:
On the Mac these live in ~/Library/Application Support/Glider/ and
~/Library/Preferences/com.osivibecode.glider.plist. On Android, sign-in tokens
and temporary copies are excluded from Android's cloud backup. Glider's own logs never
contain sign-in tokens or file contents.
dropbox.com, api.dropboxapi.com,
content.dropboxapi.com, notify.dropboxapi.com): to sign in,
upload, download and learn about changes. Dropbox handles your files under its own
privacy policy.osivibecode.github.io,
and, if you choose to install an update, the new version from github.com.
The request names the app and its version, nothing else; GitHub sees your IP address as
for any download. Turn it off in Glider ▸ Settings ▸ "Check for updates automatically".
Versions from the App Store and Google Play are updated by the store instead. The outside services are Dropbox, which you choose to connect; Google Firebase (section 4); and, for the Mac version from our website, GitHub, which hosts updates. Glider contains no advertising SDK. Glider is not made by or affiliated with Dropbox.
Glider does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, Accessibility, Screen Recording or Full Disk Access.
We hold no data that identifies you. Crash reports and usage statistics are deleted automatically (section 4). To remove everything Glider stored on your device:
~/Library/Application Support/Glider/
and ~/Library/Preferences/com.osivibecode.glider.plist.Because crash reports and usage statistics are not linked to your name, email or Dropbox account, we usually cannot pick out one person's data; email us (section 12) with any privacy question or request and we will help as far as we can. Your files in Dropbox and in your Glider folders are yours and stay where they are.
Glider is a general-purpose utility, not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If a future version of Glider collects anything new, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
October 10, 2026: added the iPhone, iPad and Android versions, and crash reports and usage statistics through Firebase (section 4). Earlier versions of the Mac app (1.0.1) send neither.
